Outdoor Learning Spaces

Students at École Westhaven Elementary School in Edson have been engaging in a variety of outdoor lessons this year in their new Outdoor Learning Spaces, which includes both a large forested area and an outdoor classroom. Teachers are incorporating nature studies through a variety of rich, hands-on learning activities and experiences that span the curriculum. Both staff and students are very grateful to their School Council for supporting this initiative and for purchasing, building, and installing the new tables for the Outdoor Classroom. L'air frais et le soleil inspirent l'apprentissage à l'extérieur!
