The Financial Services department oversees the financial resources for the Division and keeps the financial transactions and operations up-to-date. The Financial Services department is involved in the following areas to move the Division forward and help the Trustees, Senior Team, Principals and staff achieve their commitments to student learning, teaching and leadership excellence, and community engagement:
- Financial administration including development and maintenance of internal control policies and budget preparation and monitoring.
- Provision of everyday financial services including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
- Financial reporting including management of government reporting, mainly to Alberta Education, as well as reporting to the Board of Trustees, internal departments and staff to support the priorities of Grande Yellowhead Public School Division.
