August 26, 2021, was a day of high energy and excitement as central leadership met with all school principals and assistant principals in Edson to finalize plans for the start of another great year of learning at Grande Yellowhead Public School Division. It was a great opportunity to meet together in-person to connect and share information as well as collaborate on this year's goals and objectives that align with the Division's three priorities and Three-Year Education Plan.
Superintendent Lewis and her team led a dynamic full day agenda laid on the ten principles found in David Casullo's book Leading the High Energy Culture . Along with "finding the secret sauce" to a successful working environment, these principles illuminate the path to creating real employee engagement by outlining an actionable model to:
- Learn what matters to our Division and its people, and align our leadership strategy
with these truths;
- Communicate clearly, with purpose and passion, to create a resonant message
throughout all our communities; and,
- Find the leaders in our workforce who give us their best so we can ensure the best is given to our staff and students.
Leaders were energized and engaged as they moved through the day and were ready to
open their school doors to students on September 7th - welcome back!
