GNS: Thanking Our Community Sponsors

A HUGE thank you to the Division's many corporate sponsors who provide generous funds to help our students reach their full potential, helping schools expand the learning opportunities available to them greatly. For example, the Wild Sheep Foundation of Alberta recently presented École Pine Grove Middle School with a cheque for $3,000 to support a year-end field trip for their Grade 8 students who haven't been on a school trip since they were in Grade 5. They are planning a trip to Camp Yowochas on Lake Wabamun to spend the day enjoying nature and participating in kayaking, archery, rock climbing, and other physical pursuits.
The staff and students of Grande Cache Community High school also received a generous donation of $10,000 from Tourmaline for the school's ELITE technical program which allows students to receive top-quality hands-on experiential learning in the trades.
