CVS Celebrates One of Their Own!

Crescent Valley School (CVS) in Hinton is very proud to share that one of their Grade 5 students, Aadhya Andanur, won at multiple levels with her Remembrance Day essay and poster submission for the National Youth Remembrance Contest.
The Legion National Foundation, with the assistance of The Royal Canadian Legion and schools across the country, annually invite Canadian youth and children to honour Canada’s Veterans and foster the tradition of Remembrance through visual art, writing, and video. The contests include multiple levels of competition. Poster and literary works compete first at the Legion Branch local level, with winning entries moving forward until they reach the provincial level.
CVS Students entered the Remembrance Day essay and poster competition. Aadhya's poster and essay won at the Branch Level (Hinton), then proceeded to the District Level (Regional), where her essay finished third and her poster placed first. Her poster then proceeded to the Command Level (Provincial) where she finished 2nd place.
Ms. April Pankiewich (CVS Staff), also a Legion member, recently recognized Aadhya - with her proud family beside her - on behalf of Hinton Legion Branch 249 - Hinton.
