GNS: Fulham Mental Health Project

Posted on:

Mrs. Riggs from BEST (Bringing Empowered Students Together) mental health project, had students from Fulham Community School design coffee sleeves with positive messages of kindness and appreciation in support of Canadian Mental Health Week (CMHA) May 6 - 12, 2024.

The kids wrote their own positive personal message and drew a picture on a sleeve and Mrs. Riggs delivered them to the bakery in Peers. There were a total of 50 coffee sleeves and the students worked really hard on them, hoping to make someone's day a little brighter while enjoying a warm beverage supporting local business and their community school!

This year's CMHA theme was "A Call to be Kind". We all have the capacity to be compassionate, and we know that doing so can make an enormous difference. This year’s Mental Health Week was centered on the healing power of compassion. In a world plagued by suffering, we emphasize that kindness is equally intrinsic to our humanity. #CompassionConnects
