On September 17 and 18, 2019, Superintendent of Schools, Carolyn Lewis, led the Division's principals and assistant principals through strategic data analysis from a number of sources - accountability pillar results, provincial achievement tests, diploma exams, and other learning assessments - from the 2018/19 school year. Grande Yellowhead's education leadership teams use this information to evaluate and focus on instructional practice. Interpreting this data assists educators in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of individual students, classes, schools, and the jurisdiction. As they examine the data, the Division's education leaders look for factors that affect students' learning and collaborate on strategies to improve instruction to help all students achieve. This important work sets the foundation for the upcoming Professional Learning Day on October 11, 2019.
