JJSHS Resiliency

March marked the one-year anniversary of when schools were asked to shut down due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns. Staff and students at Jasper Junior/Senior High School (JJSHS) recognized the event with a school-wide virtual assembly led by Principal Crozier. Part of Mr. Crozier's address was recognition of the impact the pandemic has had on people - noting the losses (both in lives lost and in personal sacrifices) over the past year. Staff and students stood for 30 seconds in silence to reflect on these impacts. Teachers later led discussions in class about some of the positive outcomes people may have experienced as well during this time period. Ideas were shared on colorful sticky notes and put together to make a collaborative banner. Like all those impacted by the pandemic this year, JJSHS continues to model resiliency during these difficult times.
