GNS: WW Students Visit the Legislature

Ms. Gunderman from Wildwood School took her Grade 5/6 class for a guided tour of the Alberta Legislature on November 3rd, 2022. West Yellowhead MLA ,Martin Long, joined the class when they arrived and spoke to the class. Shane Getson, MLA for Lac Ste. Anne-Parkland, also talked to the students and was able to answer their questions. This tour was a wonderful way for the students to learn about government and democracy. The Grade 5/6 students from Wildwood School were given an extra special experience as they were invited to stay and view this year’s Remembrance Day Service for the Province of Alberta at the Legislature. This service was led by Speaker of the House, Nathan Cooper, and held in the rotunda of the Alberta Legislature.
